Next week, Young Lee and I will be moderating a panel at the Library 2.011 online conference. It’s titled “Riding the “Long Tail”: Leveraging a Niche to Build a Network” and we’re bringing together the people behind HackLibSchool (Micah Vandegrift), Librarian Wardrobe (Nicole Pagowsky), the San Francisco Bay Area-based Information Amateurs Social Club (Daniel Ransom), and the California Library Association’s Student Interest Group workshops  (Young Lee) to discuss their respective projects, the essentials of community building, the growth of peer-sourced solutions, and the future of professional development in libraries.

The panel will be held online on Thursday, November 3 from 10:00-11:00 PST. The conference is free to attend. I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a lively discussion!
